Megyn Kelly SLAMS Alex Jones' 'Revolting' Views Amid Interview Scandal

Megyn Kelly is taking a stand against Alex Jones after a teaser of their interview was released, causing The Sandy Hook Promise to give her the boot.

The outspoken journalist released a statement in her defense on Tuesday, saying: "I find Alex Jones' suggestion that Sandy Hook was a 'hoax' as personally revolting as every other rational person does."

As RadarOnline.com has reported, Kelly received harsh backlash via Twitter from family members of Sandy Hook victims, as well as from critics who claim that by airing the interview, both she and her network are legitimizing the views of a man who suggested that the killing of 26 people at the Connecticut elementary school in 2012 was a setup.

The criticism escalated to the point that NBC advertiser JP Morgan Chase announced they will be pulling their ads from the network.

Meanwhile, Kelly assured via Twitter that Jones' views have "left me, and many other Americans, asking the very question that prompted this interview: how does Jones, who traffics in these outrageous conspiracy theories, have the respect of the president of the United States and a growing audience of millions?"

The 46-year-old continues to argue that President Trump's open support of Jones is the shocking issue that everyone should be focusing on.

"By praising and citing him, appearing in his show, and giving him White House press credentials," said Kelly, President Trump "has helped elevate Jones, to the alarm of many. Our goal in sitting down with him was to shine a light" on exactly that.
