Joseph Duggar and Kendra Caldwell are going to be parents already! The Counting On stars revealed they are expecting their first child only three months after tying the knot.
"During this season that we are celebrating the birth of Christ, we are so excited to share with you that we are expecting the gift of a child ourselves!" the couple told Us Weekly. "Wow, it's so exciting! We've both always loved children and seen them as a real blessing from God. It's so surreal to think of being parents and having our own little one. We cannot wait to see this new baby!"
Joseph, 22, and Kendra, 19, got married on September 8. They revealed in March that they were courting and got engaged at Joy-Anna Duggar's wedding to Austin Forsyth in May.
Jill Duggar's husband Derick Dillard congratulated the soon-to-be parents.
"Congratulations to Joe and Kendra on expecting your first child," he wrote. "Ya'll will make awesome parents, and Israel and Sam are always up/down for some new cousins."
Caldwell is in good company, as her sister-in-law Joy-Anna is also pregnant with her first child.
As readers know, Joy-Anna has been the subject of shotgun wedding rumors after she announced her pregnancy only three months after tying the knot.
Dr. Stuart Fischer, who has not treated Joy-Anna, told RadarOnline.com she looked "four to five months pregnant" based on the bump photos at the time of the announcement.
The couple also moved up their October wedding to May.
