There has been another mass shooting. Twenty-five people were left injured at a movie theater in Viernheim, Germany near Frankfurt, German public TV reports.
The shooter was heavily armed when entering the cinema at 3 p.m. local time, German authorities revealed.
According to Reuters, the shooter has been killed.
"We don't know who the shooter is or what kind of weapons he has, but the possibility this could be a terror attack is crossing the minds of people here in Germany," a CNN reporter said.
This isn't the first time a mass shooting has occurred in Germany. In 2002, 16 people were killed at a high school in Erfurt. In 2009, a gunman shot down 15 people when he made his way through two towns near Stuttgart.
The massacre comes only weeks after Omar Mateen opened fire at a gay club in Orlando, Florida, leaving 49 people dead and 53 injured.
Story developing.
