Let Me Go! David Cassidy Begs Judge For Probation Termination
David Cassidy is headed back to court for his hit-and-run criminal case, and RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal that he's pleading with the judge to terminate his probation early.
The Partridge Family star is arguing that since he's stayed out of trouble for a year, he should be allowed to freely move on from the case.
As RadarOnline.com reported, Cassidy was sentenced in his criminal case in 2016, after he was accused of causing a collision on a Florida highway and leaving the scene.
He was charged with fleeing the scene of an accident, driving on a suspended license due to his previous DUI conviction, and operating a vehicle with an expired registration. He faced up to six months in jail along with six months of probation. However, the judge didn't throw the actor in jail.

Instead, he was sentenced with two years probation and was ordered to report to a probation officer on a monthly basis.
He was also prohibited from drinking or using any drugs or controlled substances. Even worse, his license was suspended for five years and was subjected to random breathalyzer and urine tests at his expense.
In the court documents obtained by RadarOnline.com, Cassidy was back in court on May 26, where he pleaded with the judge to terminate his probation early and cut him free despite still having six months remaining on the sentence.
"As of today's date, the defendant has completed nearly half of his required 12 month term of probation for count three," the court papers claimed.
"The defendant has complied with all conditions and has had no violations of his probation. The undersigned is respectfully requesting that the defendants second 12 month period of probation be terminated."
The judge has yet to make a decision.
Earlier this year, the actor revealed he was diagnosed with dementia and would not be touring anymore as a result.
