The singer, as RadarOnline.com readers know, had been traveling across the state to promote his hit single "Sooner or Later" when one of the tires in his car when out of alignment. He stopped at an Auto Zone to fix the issue, and was suddenly detained by several police officers. The officials were reportedly aggressive towards the star and revoked his rights to have an attorney.

The star was the arrested for DUI and possession of less than 1 ounce of marijuana. In the statement, Carter claims that he has a license for medical marijuana due to his long-standing anxiety.

Carter has now been released from jail after paying his $4,610 bond.

Girlfriend Madison Parker – who was arrested with the musician for obstruction and possession of less than 1 ounce of marijuana – is still behind bars, as she has not paid her bond.
