Spears, 34, was forced to follow Beyonce at the MTV Video Music Awards last night and, according to a source backstage, “she was not at all happy about it!”

“Beyonce acted like she owned Madison Square Garden last night,” said the source, referring to the venue where the highly-anticipated award show was held.

In all her hair-whipping “Glory,” Spears tried her hardest to live up to her Queen Bey. But did she succeed? Not according to critics, who have slammed MTV’s choice to air her performance after Beyonce.

“Britney got second choice in almost everything because of Beyonce,” the insider told Radar. “Beyonce got the master suite backstage, when Britney was originally told that she was getting it.”
Queen B took home seven awards last night, including the prestigious Video of the Year Award for her smash hit, “Formation!’
“Britney’s team was just treated like they were second class and it really pissed Britney off,” the insider told Radar. “When Britney signed up for this she was told she was going to be the headliner, and the fact that she had to go AFTER Bey really seemed to irritate her.”
But, Beyonce, 34, did not seem to care. She was there to slay, and she did!
But the source added that it was not ONLY Spears who was getting the brunt of Beyonce’s shade! “It was quite comical to see Kim Kardashian try to work the middle ground,” said the source. “She was so all over Britney, and begging her to do the Snapchat video.”
