It was a sweet, sour — and shocking — week for Milian, as the stunner was voted off Monday after tying for the night’s highest point total. (She received 10 points for her dance inspired by two major life events three years ago: her divorce, and the birth of her daughter Violet.)

“It’s a true shock,” Milian, 32, said after she was eliminated. “I wasn’t expecting that, but we had I think the best performance tonight that we had thus far.

“I’ve made some great memories, great friends here, everybody’s been fantastic. It’s been something that I’ve learned a lot about myself just being here … you know if you take a challenge and you take a great risk, you become a better person.”

Her pro partner Mark Ballas added, “I’m just very proud of Christina, we worked really hard, she was great tonight … we went out with a bang.”

On the night, the high score was a 28-point tie, achieved by both the departing Milian and High School Musical‘s Corbin Bleu, who danced a foxtrot.

Dancing with the Stars returns on ABC at 8/7c Monday.
