Loving father Lionel Richie stuck by Nicole during her troubled younger years, and now his daughter is showing her gratitude by playing by his side during a very special concert performance.

The touching family moment was captured in a TV special ACM PRESENTS: Lionel Richie and Friends – In Concert taped at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, which will air on CBS next week.

Dressed in a yellow and black dress with her hair in a retro bouffant, mother-of-two Nicole, 30, shone as she sat next to her father at the piano while the pair sang one of his many hits.

The adopted daughter of the Hello singer inherited his love of music, and was inspired by him to perform on the We Are The World 25 For Haiti after watching him record the original as a child. Lionel’s 14-year-old daughter, Sofia, posed with her dad and big sister in the audience but didn’t join them on stage.

The landmark concert also featured performances of some of Richie’s greatest hits by talented modern-day artists including Sara Evans and Marc Anthony, who sang Endless Love, Martina McBride, and Lady Antebellum.

Along with her duet with Nicole, the Grammy award winning singer joined vocal forces with Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw, Kenny Rogers, and Rascal Flatts, with whom he rocked out Dancing On The Ceiling.
