VIDEO: Survivor Producer Not Charged In Wife's Killing, But Ordered To Remain In Mexico

Mexican state police said Friday that Emmy-award winning TV producer Bruce Beresford-Redman has been released from their custody, but is not allowed to leave the country due to the ongoing investigation into the murder of his wife Monica Beresford-Redman.

"We're currently interrogating him, since he was the last person who was in contact with her, and are attempting to corroborate his story to the testimony of the hotel personnel," a police spokeswoman said.

The parents-of-two had been staying at the Moon Palace resort in Cancun when Monica was reported missing after allegedly not returning from a shopping trip; her body was found in a sewer at the resort on Thursday morning, and investigators say early indicators point to that she was was strangled.

RadarOnline.com spoke with her Monica’s sister Carla exclusively Thursday, who told us that she believes Bruce -- who produced shows such as Survivor, Pimp My Ride and The Restaurant -- not only cheated on, but killed her sister.

“I know he was having an affair,” Carla Burgos told RadarOnline.com exclusively Thursday. “And she found out... I’m sure now. There were witnesses who heard someone screaming and calling for help. Bruce also has scratches on his arm."

Monica was the owner of Zabumba Bar & Restaurant in Venice, California, a Brazilian eatery. She would have turned 42 Thursday.
