EXCLUSIVE VIDEO INTERVIEW: Poor Score, But Kate Gosselin Looks Glam In "Dancing" Debut

A stunning Kate Gosselin made her long-awaited debut on Dancing With The Stars’ season ten opener Monday night, and RadarOnline.com's Tina Malave caught up with the reality TV mom for an exclusive interview about her performance on ABC's hit ballroom competition.

Gosselin, paired up with dance partner Tony Dovolani, earned a disappointing 16 points for her Viennese waltz set to Billy Joel's She's Only A Woman, the third-lowest score of the evening.

She joked with us that trying to pick up the steps the first week is more frustrating than giving birth to sextuplets.

"My body and my brain were at war," Kate, who looked marvelous in her shimmering ballroom dress, told RadarOnline.com exclusively. "It was like a whirlwind."

We asked Kate about appearing on a TV show that will showcase her softer side, without the edited drama.

"I definitely strive to be me and when stories are made up and written about me that are totally untrue it is very hurtful," Kate told us exclusively. "But I hope that people see in me that I'm a mom like everyone else, just working to provide for my kids -- I mean if you have to work, isn't this so fun?

Despite the lackluster showing, Kate remained optimistic in moving forward on the show.

"I'm letting myself go," Kate told us exclusively, "and I'm diving in headfirst and forget my insecurities -- I'm just gonna have fun with it."

Dancing With The Stars continues next Monday at 8/7c on ABC.
