Kids say the darndest things -- even in times of distress.
A 7-year-old Norwalk, California boy is being lauded as a hero Wednesday, RadarOnline.com has learned, after showing his bravery in a 911 call that was recorded as his parents were held at gunpoint by three robbers.
The terrified boy made the call as he hid in a bathroom with his 6-year-old sister.
The child thought his parents were going to be killed and (mistakenly) believed they had been shot.
"Can you come really fast? please! please! ... they have guns!" the boy told the operator. "They shot my mom and dad ... there's some guy who's going to kill my mom and dad ... bring cops -- a lot of them! -- and soldiers, too!"
At that point, the robbers broke into the bathroom and the boy told them he had called 911, police said. The trio of robbers then fled the scene without taking anything or hurting anyone.

"If not for the brave and educated actions of the 7-year-old boy, said Los Angeles County sheriff's Capt. Pat Maxwell, "this might have ended tragically."
The robbers are still at large, police said.
