EXCLUSIVE: DA Working On Plea Deal For Randy And Evi Quaid

Randy and Evi Quaid have a preliminary hearing date set for March 1 in a Santa Barbara court for charges of defrauding an innkeeper. A source tells RadarOnline.com that the district attorney is working on a plea deal with the Quaids' attorney.

RadarOnline.com spoke to the DA, Arnie Tolks, who would only say: “I’m open to settling. There’s always the possibility to strike a plea deal during the hearing.”

Tolks also clarified that he has not authorized the Quaids to skip Monday’s hearing.
“My feeling is that they should and need to be there on Monday,” he told RadarOnline.com. “My goal is to make sure they accept responsibility for what they incurred.”

Since their last court date in December- in which Evi left the courthouse with a credit card taped to her forehead accompanied by Randy who was sporting a toy sheriff’s badge- the Quaids have toned down their crazy antics.
