Adding to Evi Quaid‘s ever expanding list of legal woes, Deputy James Davis of Presido County, TX is suing her for defamation of Character.
The lawsuit follows Evi’s protest last month where she painted the side of a truck parked outside of Mayor Dan Dunlop’s office with an accusation against Davis that he took illegal bribes.
The sign said “Deputy James Davis takes payments … call & make offers.”
Evi’s protest followed the arrest of her and husband Randy by Deputy Davis last month for three felony counts, for walking out of a bill at The San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara.
Deputy James Davis filed the lawsuit Wednesday in Presidio County.
When contacted by RadarOnline.com Deputy Davis said,”Everyone has the right to free speech but when it becomes libelous, then that’s something different.”
