Its official: Britney Spears has made the full-fledged career comeback.

The Circus singer was presented with the highest of honors at the 2009 Teen Choice Awards at Universal City, California's Gibson Amphitheater Sunday: the Ultimate Choice Award. The awards were determined by more than 83 million votes cast by fans, showing that her troubles of yesteryear remain in the past in the eyes of the fans.

The singer had been all but written off two years ago after a series of bizarre incidents, legal entanglements was magnified when an out-of-sorts, out-of-shape Spears gave a lackluster performance of her hit, 'Gimme More', at the 2007 MTV Music Awards.

Miley Cyrus, who presented Britney with the award, said of the Louisiana songstress: "She's a good friend of the family, so I'm just happy to finally show everyone that she's back, and she never went anywhere. She's had a successful career, I'm proud of her -- and both of us being Southern girls, I love that."

Twilight's Ashley Greene said of Britney: "She looks great -- I'm so happy for her... she's had a rough couple of years, but she looked phenomenal."

The Teen Choice Awards airs Monday, August 10 on Fox; check local listings for times.
