Have the pioneering adoption efforts of Madonna and Angelina Jolie touched even the likes of Amy Winehouse?
Perhaps, as one British newspaper suspects the embattled singer intends to adopt a child from her never-ending vacation spot, St. Lucia in the Caribbean Islands.
The rumor comes on the heels of the news that Winehouse's equally troubled husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, is fathering another woman's baby.

"Amy's gutted about Blake becoming a dad and moving on so quickly. She has always wanted to be a mother," a source tells the Daily Mail.
Reps for the singer said, "Amy was taking about adopting in the context of looking after children on the island, perhaps through some kind of music and education-based project."
Winehouse, pictured above on her second stint on the island, returned to St. Lucia at the end of March. Her first and infamous holiday totaled 33 days of sun, sand and long nights at her resort restaurant and private bungalow.
