Levi Johnston Hoping To Get Back With Bristol Palin

Levi Johnston, the father of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's grandson Tripp, told Good Morning America Monday he hopes he can reconcile his relationship with Palin's daughter Bristol.

Johnston told GMA that he and Bristol mutually agreed to separate and call off their engagement about two weeks ago after a fight.

The 19-year-old cited his own maturity as a reason the pair did not proceed with their marital plans.

"It's just us not -- me -- not being mature enough," Johnston said. "I'd like to get back together with her ... I don't know what she's thinking."

He said that exchanges between the pair are cordial and that he sees his son "whenever he wants to."
