Further proof that it's better to be blond and rich than Hispanic and poor: Allen Garcia, the 33-year-old homeless panhandler who has been sitting in Rikers Island since he was arrested six weeks ago for selling crack to Tatum O'Neal, was finally released this week—only to be scooped up by immigration officials. He will now be deported. This despite the fact that, after her arrest, O'Neal told the Post, "I'm going to try to see if I can help him. He's not a drug dealer. He's a panhandler who sold drugs. I'm going to talk to my lawyer."

By way of contrast, the Oscar winner was fined $95 dollars and ordered to attend two half-day sessions in a drug treatment program. "And I thought the thing that was cool about New York, no special treatment. No special cell...I think it's worse for the people that don't have a lawyer to get them out," O'Neal said after spending a single night in jail on a mattress. Uh, yeah.
