Diana Ross promised pal Michael Jackson she’d watch over his kids before the King of Pop died in 2009, and RadarOnline.com Online has exclusively learned that Ross has kept her vow!
“Diana admits that Michael’s kids are a ‘constant concern’ for her,” a Jackson family insider said.
While Michael made his elderly mom, Katherine, 86, the legal guardian of Prince, Paris and Blanket, he made his idol Diana promise to keep an eye on them, too.
So now, according to the insider, the Supremes songbird, 72, is desperate to get volatile Paris, 18, professional help and steer Prince out of trouble!
The superstar is “especially” concerned about Paris, who cut her wrists and took an overdose of Motrin in a failed suicide attempt in 2013.
“Diana really believes Paris needs to be in long-term therapy because she’s never really come to terms with her feelings about her father’s death,” the source told RadarOnline.com.
Recently, the fragile beauty had a tear-filled public meltdown and locked lips with girlfriends during a trip to New York City.
Meanwhile, Prince, 19, has been seen smoking suspicious cigarettes and frequenting L.A. massage parlors!
“Diana fears that he’s rebelling in all the wrong ways,” the source said.
Paris and Prince are now legally adults — so Diana can offer advice, but can’t make them follow it.
But she’s keeping a close eye on Blanket, 14, and “won’t hesitate to make a move to yank him out of the situation and have him come live with her!” the insider added.
“A lot of people call her a diva, but she’s proven to be a good mother to her own five children, and she continues to fight for the well-being of Michael’s kids.”
