Melissa Gorga might want to up security in her new boutique, Envy by MG— as RadarOnline.com can reveal she knows a thing or two about theft!

The Real Housewives of New Jersey star, 37, was once arrested for stealing a shirt from a now-closed Florida department store, according to a 1997 Palm Beach County police report obtained by Radar.

"The defendant select sic a blue shirt, valued at $24 and tear off the tag," the report stated.

"Defendant then exited the store with the shirt in her hand," the report continued. "Once outside the store the defendant dropped the shirt in her purse. Defendant was apprehended and returned to the security office and the shirt was recovered."

Gorga, then 18, was charged with retail theft, and a warrant was issued for her arrest after she missed her arraignment.

According to Palm Beach County court records, the case was finally dismissed on October 10, 2012.

Now, Gorga has opened her own boutique in Montclair, New Jersey, despite her history of shoplifting.

Her store has been a main storyline this season on RHONJ so far, as her husband Joe struggles to see his wife as a working woman.

Envy will be featured again later on, as Gorga hosted a dramatic fashion show to cap the season and spread the word about her store.
