Chunky Roger Logan is lucky to be alive!

A California surgeon cut a massive 130-pound tumor from Logan's body after OTHER doctors insisted the Mississippi man was simply obese!

Roger recalls every physician he visited told him the same thing: "'You're just fat.'" But Roger knew that couldn't be true.

When he sat in a chair, his protruding gut would reach the floor. When he walked, he had the sensation of heavy bags of cement strapped around his neck.

Eventually, his worst fear was confirmed —his so-called beer belly was actually a monster tumor!

Unfortunately, no surgeons in his hometown were capable of performing the dicey operation. So he and his wife, Kitty, headed for California.

The lifesaving road trip took 40 hours with Kitty driving while Roger sat in a reclining chair that was bolted to the floor of their cargo van.

Their final destination was a Bakersfield hospital where renowned surgeon Dr. Vipul Dev would perform the risky procedure.

When the moment of truth came late last month, the hero doc successfully removed the grotesque mass from Roger's body.

"We are very fortunate we can do this surgery with little to no complications," says Dr. Dev.

Logan put it more bluntly when he wrote on his social media home page: "Still here, suckers!"

As for what caused the tumor, the surgeon thinks the giant lump began as an ingrown hair. The follicle got infected and the tumor swelled to its enormous size as new blood vessels fed into the site.

After the operation, Logan began a two-week rehab program as part of his recovery. He joked the last time he "hurt this much and was this tired, I got hit by a school bus."
