Not Fair! Jenelle's Mom Barbara Slams MTV For Firing Evans Family But Not Amber Portwood After Arrest

MTV has stood by Teen Mom OG veteran Amber Portwood’s side after she was arrested for alleged domestic abuse, and was seemingly caught on tape threatening to harm her baby daddy.
Now, ousted Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans’ mom told RadarOnline.com exclusively that she and her family should not have been fired.
Barbara Evans broke her silence for the first time following the shocking news that the entire family was not filming Teen Mom 2 after Jenelle's husband David Eason admittedly killed the family dog.
“Why should Jenelle and I lose our money, and why is MTV supporting Amber when Jenelle and I have done nothing wrong?” Barbara said. "We were on the show for 10 years too, and they stopped filming with us."
“Why is this fair? Why were we let go, and she wasn't?"
As RadarOnline.com first reported, Amber was arrested for domestic battery on July 5, 2019 after allegedly attacking her baby daddy Andrew Glennon with a machete as he held their 1-year-old son James.
“MTV supports her and isn’t taking her off the show,” Barbara claimed to RadarOnline.com, adding that she and her daughter brought the "highest ratings" to the franchise.
“I was the only one on that show who was on the billboard in Times Square,” she pointed out.
As RadarOnline.com reported, Jenelle made $400,000 a season for the show, according to court records, and Barbara confirmed that she was making the same amount before she lost her income.
“Jenelle and I made the same amount of money,” Barbara told RadarOnline.com. “I make the same amount of money as Jenelle and the other girls on the show. This is not fair.”
Meanwhile, a source close to Amber told RadarOnline.com the two situations are totally different.
"Amber didn't kill a dog," the source said. "And she has not been convicted of a crime."

In the first clip, Amber allegedly exploded at Andrew, with their toddler in the room, for waking her up for an appointment at 2 in the afternoon. “If you don’t pick him up you f**king fat piece of s**t I’m going to f**king stab you,” she said. “Get your fat a** up and get him.”

On the recording, Andrew allegedly questioned Amber, saying: “I thought you were watching him?”
Horrific Situation
In a second audio recording from Christmas 2018, Amber allegedly said that she is going to tell James that his father is a "trash bag." He responded, "You should tell him how you didn't want him... How about that?" She then said she wanted a baby when she turns 32. She then said, "You tell me how I didn't have a baby for ten years, fat a**." She then repeated herself as she could be heard hitting him. He then screamed in pain. "Stop! I'm holding James! Stop hitting me. Stop kicking me," he yelled.

On the recording, Andrew asked why she was "so abusive," and Amber responded, "Because you're a disgusting abusive man who used my body. I'm going to say it to you one more time you ugly f**king fat a**. Get out of my house now. Take him and go. I'm going to make a statement to the press about everything. It's done. You have the audacity to say s**t to me b***h." (A source close to Amber said the audio was edited in Andrew's favor.)
Equal Treatment
After the recordings were published, Barbara told RadarOnline.com that she was furious that she and Jenelle lost their jobs while Amber was still employed by MTV. She told RadarOnline.com that David had worked hard to change since he killed the dog.
Bold Move
“Jenelle told me David got really scared when he thought that she almost left him. When she left for those four days, he got really worried. He knew that he had to change,” Barbara said about her daughter’s marriage.

Barbara told RadarOnline.com why she believed Amber should be let go from the show. "She's a convicted felon," she said.
The Struggle Is Real
“It was very hard for him to admit how hard it was for him to be on TV and being filmed,” Barbara said Jenelle told her about David’s struggle on MTV. “If you never did it before, all of a sudden you’re thrown into this limelight. It can be very awful.”

“It was really a wake-up call for him when Jenelle left him,” Barbara told RadarOnline.com about David. “He did anger management classes and he did counseling. He has settled down and changed.”
Forgive And Forget
“People should forgive him and stop hating. And move on. Everyone else is moving on,” Barbara said, and gave an update on their children. “The kids are doing well, everyone is happy. Maryssa, Jace, Kaiser and Ensley, we are all doing fine.”
RIP Nugget
RadarOnline.com readers know they were let go after David shot and killed the family dog Nugget. An investigation and court hearings by Child Protective Services initially had all four children removed from their home, but the case was dismissed, and the children were returned to The Land. “Nothing was ever found wrong. And David has now changed himself,” Barbara shared.

Barbara told RadarOnline.com she just wanted to be treated fairly. “We were on MTV for 10 years. It isn’t fair that we were dismissed so abruptly.”
