A teacher in West Virginia has been arrested after she allegedly duct taped a student’s mouth from “ear to ear” while “in the middle of the class,” RadarOnline.com has learned.

On Oct. 13, prosecutors met with troopers from the West Virginia State Police to discuss a child abuse case reported against 43-year-old Cassandra Sisler that allegedly took place at a school in Preston County, as Front Page Detectives reported.

The teacher is accused of duct taping a student's mouth from 'ear to ear.'

According to the West Virginia Education Association website, Sisler is a teacher at West Preston Middle School and president of the Preston County chapter of the WVEA.

However, the Preston County Board of Education states she was a teacher at Central Preston Middle School when the alleged incidents took place, WBOY reported.

The victim claimed to investigators that “his teacher,” who he identified as Sisler, “put duct tape over his mouth from ear to ear."

He said this took place on Oct. 2 “in the middle of class” and “after he took the tape off, his mouth and his lips were sore,” police said in a criminal complaint.

Not only did the teacher allegedly duct tape the student's mouth, but also their wrists.

The same thing happened again on Oct. 3, according to the alleged victim. On Oct. 4, the student said, Sisler allegedly duct taped the boy’s “mouth from ear to ear," but “also grabbed his hands and wrapped his wrists in duct tape.”

On Oct. 5, the student alleged Sisler “got stronger tape and wrapped it around his head over his mouth and onto his shoulders,” according to the complaint.

However, he did note that the Board of Education “contacted the appropriate authorities and are cooperating and taking all necessary actions while the situation is being investigated.”
