Wendy Williams Appears Disheveled In First Sighting Since Son Threatened Her With 'Ultimatum' Amid Months-Long Talk Show Absence
Wendy Williams may not be well enough to go back to work, but she's feeling fine to walk the streets with the help of her son.
The 57-year-old missing talk show host was seen strolling around New York City with 21-year-old Kevin Hunter Jr. on Friday. Wearing a plush electric blue jacket, Wendy wasn't trying to hide from the paparazzi.
Pairing the attention-grabbing coat with a pair of eye-catching boots with the fur, the health-riddled star held onto her son's hand for support ahead of the weekend. Slipping on a crop top and black leggings, Wendy went makeup-free for their concrete jungle outing.
Kevin's support signals the two have made up since he reportedly gave her an "ultimatum," allegedly threatening her that he wouldn't be in her life "unless she fixes herself."
'Wendy's relationship with Kevin Jr has been strained," an insider told The Sun. "He gave her an ultimatum. He told her he won't be in her life unless she fixes herself."
The source added, “Her son has been doling out the tough love, telling Wendy, ‘Get yourself help, mom.’” His alleged threats must have worked because the two looked thick as thieves during their mother/son date.

This is one of the first times we've seen Wendy walking in months. The Wendy Williams Show host has been photographed mostly being pushed in a wheelchair over the past few months after suffering a health scare that's kept her out of work since September.
Despite claiming she "felt fabulous" earlier this month while leaving a wellness center in Miami, her producers revealed she won't be back to work to kick off the new year. Just last week, it was announced that a slew of stars will be guest hosting The Wendy Williams show, including Sherri Shepherd.
Plans changed over the weekend when Sherri had to undergo emergency surgery.
As RadarOnline.com reported, Shepherd and Leah Remini are slated to possibly take over as replacement hosts for Wendy. While we're told producers love Remini, Shepherd is clearly a fan favorite and has the potential to take the job.
