Valerie Bertinelli's Tearful Video Called A 'Shameless PR Stunt'

Valerie Bertinelli's emotional video about her struggles with her body image fails to mention that she is promoting a new self-help book coming out in January.
“No one is doubting the issues she shares in the video, but she should have mentioned that she also has a self-help book coming out in a few weeks that talk about these very issues,” sources tell Radar. “This shameless PR stunt might have made her book number one on Amazon, but it also feels manipulative. There is something off about the timing.”
61-year-old Bertinelli confessed that she wasn’t happy with her body and was not sure if she will ever get to a place where she content.
“I am not where I want to be right now, body-wise. I don’t know if I ever will be, but when I see it right in front of me, it really does send me down that path,” Bertinelli said. “And I am doing my best to be positive and more full of joy and hopefully my body will follow along. I’m not there yet.”
The post — simply captioned "exhale" — received praise from Jamie Lee Curtis, her friend Duff Goldman, and countless fans who showed the actress support in the comment section. The video received over 2 million views in only 3 days.
