A TikTok influencer allegedly helped her mother chase down and run her young lover and his friend off a British road to cover up their affair and explicit videos, RadarOnline.com has learned.
In February 2022, Mahek Bukhari, 23, and her mother, Ansreen Bukhari, 45, allegedly chased Saqib Hussain, 21, off the road as he was trying to get away from them with his childhood friend Mohammed Hashim Ijazuddin in Leicester, as Front Page Detectives reported.
The two men were killed in the fiery crash, which ended up ripping their car in two, officials said.
On April 24, Prosecutor Collingwood Thompson KC said an investigation into their deaths led them to a “story of love, obsession, extortion and, ultimately, cold-blooded murder,” The Times reported.
Attorneys claim Ansreen had an on-and-off relationship with Hussain for about three years. However, the married woman wanted to call things off for good and he “could not accept” it, officials said.
Thompson argued that Hussain threatened to tell Ansreen’s husband and sons about their affair as well as share sexually explicit photographs and videos of her. This prompted Ansreen to turn to her daughter for help, authorities said.
In a WhatsApp message to her mother, Mahek allegedly said, “I’ll get him jumped by guys, and he won’t know what day it is,” The Times reported.
Mahek, who gained about 230,000 followers on TikTok, was seen in a video one month before the fatal crash supposedly joking that she “killed someone.” Her TikTok account has since been taken down, officials said.
At the trial, jurors also heard the painful call Hussain made to police as he was being chased off the road.
“They’ve got balaclavas on. They’re trying to ram me off the road. They’re trying to kill me. I’m going to die,” Hussain told police. Hussain then screams “Oh my God,” before he is cut off at the sound of the crash.
Thompson said the mother and daughter were not only trying to save Ansreen’s reputation, but they also wanted to protect Mahek’s image.
Along with Mahel and Ansreen, Natasha Akhtar, 22, Raees Jamal, 22, Rekan Karwan, 28, Mohammed Patel, 20, Sanaf Gulammustafa, 22, and Ameer Jamal, 27, have all been charged in connection to the murders, officials said.
All eight of the defendants deny any responsibility for the pair’s deaths.
