A mother in Texas has been taken into custody after she allegedly subjected her 3-year-old daughter to medical abuse, sending her to multiple hospitals in multiple states, RadarOnline.com has learned.

On July 17, the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office said 27-year-old Jessica Gasser had multiple unnecessary medical procedures performed on her child for an “unknown amount of time," as Front Page Detectives reported.

An arrest affidavit states Gasser lied to hospital staff about her daughter’s medical history, which caused them to draw the child’s blood 28 times, according to KDFW-TV. Gasser reportedly took her daughter to multiple hospitals in multiple states, including Texas, Louisiana, and Ohio.

In March, Gasser allegedly told medical personnel that her daughter was experiencing weight loss and refusing to eat, so the healthcare providers decided to administer a feeding tube. Gasser assured the doctors that she was providing her daughter with an adequate number of calories, according to KDFW-TV.

The doctors, however, grew suspicious as the child continued to not gain any weight, leading them to believe that Gasser might have been lying and they reported the situation to the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services.

Gasser allegedly also set up a fake GoFundMe account to help her raise money to send her child to the Cleveland Clinic for medical treatment, KDFW-TV reported.

Miracle Flight, which provides flights to children with medical complications, reportedly flew Gasser and her daughter from Dallas to Cleveland. In the paperwork Gasser filed with Miracle Flight, she listed her daughter’s diagnoses as gastroparesis, a condition that interferes with the stomach’s ability to empty properly, according to KDFW-TV.

Authorities said they searched Gasser’s phone history and found she Googles such phrases as “Is lying to a doctor about a child illegal,” and “Can you be prosecuted in a different county than you reside.”

The victim met Fonseca on Facebook before agreeing to go on a date with her.

Gasser also messaged a friend and said she would delete all her social media posts and private messages regarding her daughter’s health, officials said.

She went by the username MedicalMamaJess on social media and garnered thousands of followers.
