An argument broke out between armed people at a family gathering in Oklahoma, leading to gunshots being exchanged and two people dead, RadarOnline.com has learned.
According to the Tulsa Police Department, officers responded to a home in Tulsa around 2 a.m. on Nov. 19 regarding a report of a shooting, as Front Page Detectives reported.
Once at the scene, officers found multiple victims suffering from gunshot wounds, officials said.
Two of the victims, a 40-year-old male and a 16-year-old male, died from their injuries. Three other victims — a 20-year-old male, an 18-year-old male and a 15-year-old male — were transported to local hospitals for treatment, authorities said.
Investigators determined there was a family gathering at the residence when a dispute took place between the 16-year-old and another guest, police said. The 16-year-old was the boyfriend of an invited guest.
While the dispute took place, police said there were over a dozen people in the house, including children under 10 years old.
The fight soon escalated, which is when the 16-year-old and his friends were asked to leave, police said. The 16-year-old and his 15-year-old friend were both armed.
The 40-year-old male was the person who asked them to leave and while doing so, he was armed with a semi-automatic rifle, investigators said.
Once outside, gunfire was exchanged between the 40-year-old and the 16-year-old, which resulted in the death of the 16-year-old, police said.
The 40-year-old was hit by gunfire, fell to the ground and dropped his rifle. His son, who is 20 years old, grabbed the rifle and started exchanging gunfire with the 15-year-old with both of them getting hit, police said.

The 16-year-old died at the scene and the 40-year-old was transported to the hospital, where he died, officials said. The 20-year-old son was hit in the leg and hip and the 15-year-old was hit and is in critical condition. An 18-year-old male was also hit and may have paralysis. It’s not clear if he was part of the argument or a bystander.
The names of the people involved have not been released. The investigation is ongoing and no charges have been filed yet.
