Ohio Man Told Cops He Found His Wife With a Fatal Head Injury, Then Cops Found Him Dead in the Couple's Home

An Ohio man allegedly confessed to murdering his wife. Then, police say, officers found his body inside the couple's home, RadarOnline.com has learned.
On Aug. 24, police responded to a home in Fairfield after receiving a report about an unconscious person, as Front Page Detectives reported.
According to officials, someone called 911 advising that the victim, later identified as 55-year-old Katrina Pratt, was found with visible injuries to her head while laying face down in a pool of blood.
First responders pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
On Aug. 26, a controlled call was conducted with Katrina’s husband, 55-year-old William Pratt, authorities said.
During the call, officials say William confessed to killing his wife two days earlier.
The SWAT team unsuccessfully attempted to make contact with William and eventually entered the residence, where they found William’s dead body.
At 5:50 a.m. on Aug. 27, William was pronounced dead from a gunshot wound and his manner of death was determined to be suicide, according to authorities.

Police said William was facing an arrest warrant related to a domestic violence case. Court records show he had been charged after allegedly trying to strangle his wife.
Officials said the investigation is still ongoing.
