A New Jersey postal worker was ambushed and robbed by two masked muggers, who took his skeleton key, on just his second day on the job, RadarOnline.com has learned.
On May 13, the postal worker was dropping off letters and packages along his route in Millburn before the two suspects snuck up on him and stole his postal keys, Front Page Detectives reported.
Surveillance video shows the postal worker running from the duo across a front lawn before one of the muggers forcibly pushes him to the ground.
The worker then slides across a walkway and lands on the driveway, according to the publication.
The mailman is able to get up and is shouting at his phone for Siri to call 911 before the muggers grab him and snatch his keys and run off, the footage shows.
Police said the suspects were picked up by a waiting getaway car, which is believed to be a silver Mercedes-Benz sedan.

The mail carrier told officials the pair stole his “arrow key,” which is a master key used by USPS employees to open apartment building mailboxes.
“Arrow keys are basically universal keys that open every mail receptacle in a given zip code,” Frank Albergo, the president of the Postal Police Officers Association, told Inside Edition. “They are like the keys to the city. You have access to incredible amounts of mail.”
The resident whose surveillance camera captured the attack talked to NorthJersey.com and said he believes the muggers hid between a dumpster and a storage unit next door and then jumped out at the victim.
“They were watching [him]. They knew exactly what he was doing,” the homeowner, Lenny Weiland, told WNBC. “As a matter of fact, the postal worker who was attacked, it was his second day on the job.”
“The only part you could see was their hands,” Weiland said about the thieves. “They’re pretty concealed.”
Millburn police and the US Postal Inspection Service are currently investigating the robbery, officials said.
