Minnesota Couple Fatally Shot Man Through Bathroom Door After Claiming He Refused to Pay for Erotic Massage

A Minnesota couple will spend over 30 years in prison after being convicted of second-degree murder over a disagreement regarding an erotic massage, RadarOnline.com has learned.

On May 2, Logan David Slack, 25, and Fotini Anest West, 26, were each sentenced to 367 months in the St. Cloud Correctional Facility for the death of 43-year-old Michael Chang-Beom Lee on Sept. 24, 2022, which Front Page Detectives previously reported on.

Slack and West were originally charged with two counts each of second-degree murder, both agreed to plead guilty to one count of second-degree murder in exchange for a suggested sentence of 367 months and the second charge would be dismissed, court records stated.

On Sept. 24, 2022, officers from the Inver Grove Heights Police Department responded to a home from a caller who reported someone was trying to get into their house. The man shouted “help me” on the call, but eventually went silent.

Once at the house, police noted there was shattered glass and bloody footprints and they found Lee dead in a basement bathroom from a single gunshot wound.

Witnesses saw a midsize SUV parked in front of Lee’s house, but it drove off right before police arrived.

Later in the night, police stopped Slack behind the wheel of an SUV in Inver Grove Heights. The officer noticed West in the passenger seat, whose hands, arms and chest were covered in blood.

West told the officer that an Asian man had attacked her and Slack brought her to safety. However, officers at Lee’s home stated he was found dead and asked the officer to check the shoe soles of Slack and West to see if they matched the bloody prints found at Lee’s home.

The couple was taken to the police station, where Slack said he dropped West off at Lee’s home for an erotic massage. A short time later, West came outside and said Lee assaulted her and wouldn’t pay for the services.

Slack then grabbed a gun, forced his way into Lee’s home and ran after him, as Lee hid in a bathroom. Slack then fired his gun, shooting Lee in the back. He said Lee tried to grab West through a hole in the bathroom door.

The couple then grabbed Lee’s phone so he couldn’t call 911 and made sure they got paid before fleeing the house.

When searching the SUV, police found the gun and Lee’s cellphone.
