A Pennsylvania man has been arrested after he allegedly stole a school bus and led police on a chase before fleeing into a wooded area while stripping off his clothes, RadarOnline.com has learned.

Around 7:10 a.m. on April 4, officers were notified that a school bus had been stolen in Abbottstown, according to Front Page Detectives.

Officers said they found the school bus in a parking lot with the lights “turning on and off intermittently."

The bus left the parking lot and police caught up to the vehicle on Route 15 and attempted to perform a traffic stop.

The bus reportedly pulled over, but then pulled away back onto Route 15 while “winding in and out of traffic lanes," authorities said.

Officials claimed the bus then left the highway and “drove over a berm, nearly overturning the bus.”

The driver, later identified as 25-year-old Tony Saunders, eventually turned into a neighborhood and got out of the bus and ran from the scene on foot into a wooded area.

Officials said Saunders “stripped his clothing as he fled from police."

Witnesses provided a physical description of Saunders and police said they were able to apprehend the suspect, who was naked.

When talking with officers, police alleged Saunders admitted to taking the bus earlier in the day after he crashed a BMW. He said he placed a dead deer in the back of the bus and was planning on using it as “fertilizer for his garden,” authorities said.

Saunders was arrested and booked into the York County Jail.

He was charged with fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, receiving stolen property, resisting arrest or other law enforcement and reckless driving, officials said.
