Lindsay Lohan & 'Machete' Co-Star Danny Trejo Working On Super-Secret Project Together

LiLo is making her return to Hollywood, and she's doing it by starring alongside Trejo for the first time since their 2010 thriller.

Trejo first grabbed attention when he posted a photo with Lindsay earlier this week. Flashing a side smile while sitting next to the Mean Girls star, the actor-turned-restaurant mogul teased their comeback.

"Me and my friend Lindsay Lohan at my restaurant, good food, great people, especially her!" he wrote as the caption. Lindsay's mom Dina Lohan reposted the image and spilled even more tea about their reunion.

"Danny," she wrote adding several celebratory emojis. Dina also used the hashtags #machete and #commercialcomingsoon. Despite not sharing the screen in more than a decade, Trejo and Lindsay looked as thick as thieves in the photo.

The 77-year-old actor wasn't the only one sporting a smile in the shot. Lindsay looked just as happy to be back in his graces. Her upcoming commercial with Trejo isn't the only project that she has in the works either.

A source told pop culture site Deuxmoi that Lindsay was a treat while filming her upcoming Netflix Christmas movie with Chord Overstreet!

"I just work [sic] on the Lindsay Lohan - Netflix Xmas movie and I just can't tell you how nice and kind she was to all the crew and cast," the tipster told the outlet. "She was beyond professional and she really deliver [sic] a funny good performance. I'm 100% sure she will receive more acting offers in the future."

In the film, LiLo plays a hotel heiress who catches amnesia after a skiing accident. She finds herself in the care of a working man, played by Overstreet.

Sadly, fans will have to wait to see her Christmas until next year. Production began this fall and the movie — which seems to be titled Christmas — won't be released until 2022.
