An Indiana woman who claimed her boyfriend was physically abusive has been found guilty of murdering him in 2021, RadarOnline.com has learned.

In the early morning of Feb. 21, 2021, Morgan Bell, 28, murdered her 33-year-old ex-boyfriend, Robert Scott III, as Front Page Detectives reported.

Officers in Muncie arrived at the scene and found Scott lying on a driveway with gunshot wounds to his chest. Scott was transported to the IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital, where he died, officials said.

Police spoke with witnesses, who said Bell’s friend Brandon Hodge, 30, used a 12-gauge shotgun to shoot Scott three times.

When talking to police, Bell alleged she was physically abused by Scott while they were in a relationship.

Police collected evidence, which revealed Bell planned on murdering Scott. Bell was arrested after Hodge turned himself over to law enforcement and admitted to trying to cover up the murder with Bell, according to authorities.

After five hours of deliberations, the jury handed down the guilty verdict. She is scheduled to be sentenced on June 8.

Hodge faces charges of murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and obstruction of justice. His trial is set to begin on Dec. 4.
