A woman was sleeping in a California park when she was reportedly killed after she was run over by a lawnmower, RadarOnline.com has learned.
According to Front Page Detectives, a landscaper at Beard Brook Park was driving a tractor with a pull-behind mower when he ran over 27-year-old Christine Chavez.
Chavez had been homeless for three to four years and was known to frequent that park, according to The Modesto Bee.
Chavez’s older brother, Randy Chavez, told the publication her family went to the grisly scene.

At the park, her family saw pieces of human remains and scattered clothing about 50 feet from where the deadly incident occurred.
Randy claims relatives found additional body parts on subsequent trips to the park, according to The Modesto Bee.
Chavez’s family said other homeless people at the park allegedly told them they saw Christine wash her hair in the creek.
She then went to go to sleep on a hill by the playground about 20 minutes before her death.
Her death is being investigated by Stanislaus County coroners, officials said.
“My mom had to pick up pieces of her. We want ordinances to change so it doesn’t happen again," Randy told The Modesto Bee. "Regardless if they are homeless, they are still people and should be treated the same as any other people.”
