Police responded to an apartment complex in South Daytona for a possible shooting.

Police talked with the victim, who said she saw a Silver Acura driving past her home over the last few days.

The woman reportedly went out to pick up dinner from Wendy’s and when she returned, she saw the Acura parked in front of the complex, so she decided to park behind it to figure out who owned it, the affidavit said.

Travis Stacey Peterson and Melissa Ann Gray of Kearns, Utah, were arrested for aggravated child abuse.

The victim got out of her car, but then she allegedly heard someone shout, “She has a gun,” which prompted her to run back to her vehicle, officials said.
