A Florida man admitted to police that he physically and mentally abused his 18-year-old girlfriend before killing her last year. Now, he will spend 50 years behind bars for her murder, RadarOnline.com has learned.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, officers responded to a home in Jacksonville on Sept. 19, 2022, after they were contacted by the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department because they found a body, as Front Page Detectives reported.
Police searched the residence and located the victim, identified as Gabrielle Bolton, in a bedroom “wrapped in a shower curtain and towel” suffering what appeared to be head trauma, officials said.
Once first responders arrived at the scene, Isaiah Greene, 19, fled the home, but officers were able to find him “a short time later.”
Greene’s mother spoke with police, telling them her son reportedly called her upset. She claimed he said, “I didn’t mean to do it,” according to the Florida State Attorney’s Office for the Fourth Judicial Court.
She then went to her son’s home after he allegedly made suicidal remarks and repeated that he “didn’t mean to do it," officials said.
During questioning, Green told detectives he and Bolton had been in a relationship for about a year.
He admitted to police that “he had been both physically and mentally abusive toward her,” the attorney’s office reported.
