'Euphoria' Star Barbie Ferreira Walked Off Set After Heated Argument With Director, Tension Reason For Actress' Absence At Season 2 Premiere
The drama on Euphoria Season 2 wasn't just on the screen. RadarOnline.com has learned tensions brewed behind the scenes with one of the show's leading ladies and the HBO series' director, Sam Levinson.
Things reportedly got so heated between Barbie Ferreira — known for playing Kat Hernandez — and Levinson that the 25-year-old actress walked off set, causing the director to allegedly erase some of her lines in the episodes that followed.
The feud between the two is one of the reasons Barbie was a no-show at Euphoria's Season 2 premiere earlier this month. Their reported clash is due to Barbie allegedly not agreeing with Levinson's vision for her body-conscious teen character.
An insider told pop culture site Deuxmoi that Barbie isn't "vibing" with the director.
"New season of Euphoria is going to be real DARK," the tipster revealed. "So much so that some actors, especially Barbie Ferreira, were not vibing with the director's vision."

They went on to claim, "Barbie got into it with him on set and left one day. He then cut a lot of her lines." The source says the drama between Barbie and Levinson has deeply harmed her character's presence this season.
The alleged altercation and aftermath are the reasons "why she's not in the trailer," and why she ditched out on the HBO premiere, reveals the insider.
Barbie shocked everyone when she failed to show up alongside her cast for the red carpet on January 5. While her female co-stars Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, and Hunter Schafer were all smiles in their gowns for the premiere, Barbie and Storm Reid were noticeably absent.
At the time, many outlets reported that Barbie and Storm opted not to attend the event due to COVID-19 concerns, but that seems not the case, at least for Ferreira.
Barbie made no mention of her red carpet absence, but she did promote the season's premiere and has continued to fulfill her commitments to the HBO series on social media.
