Police video shows a man crashed a stolen pickup truck into three Indianapolis patrol cars before he was shot and wounded, RadarOnline.com has learned.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department released video Monday of what they call a pursuit of George Leachman on the afternoon of Saturday, February 25, Front Page Detectives previously reported..
The graphic 13-minute video obtained by TMX combines several police body cameras.
Leachman, 42, pulled over two blocks from where the stolen truck was found. Then, a clip shows, he reportedly backed into a police officer's car so hard that it could not move.
“He's gonna ram me!,” the officer said before he could get out of the car. That officer wound up in a hospital with a head injury.
Leachman reportedly raced away, heading south and west for several miles. Then police say he crashed into a second patrol car at an intersection.
The truck kept going, colliding with that same patrol car and making its airbag deploy. The officer driving it was injured.
After a third patrol car was rammed in a residential neighborhood, 13 gunshots could be heard as an officer climbed out of his disabled vehicle.
“Two officers exited their vehicles and discharged their service weapons,” the video narration explains.
Police say Leachman was still inside the stolen truck. Officers were aware from their initial report that a gun was inside it.

“Get your f***ing hands up!,” an officer was heard saying. “Get on the f***ing ground!”
Three more shots were fired before a man got out and lay face-down on the street. No weapon was noticeable.
“We're gonna help you,” an officer called to the driver.
“I'm hurt,” the man on the ground said, adding he'd been shot.
“So am I,” an officer responded. That officer reported a broken wrist.
Police say Leachman was treated at a hospital for “multiple gunshot wounds.” Three injured officers were treated and released.
Officers found the handgun below a rear passenger's seat. Police do not believe it was fired.
Jail records reviewed by Front Page Detectives Tuesday show Leachman is charged with nine felonies: six counts of battery and three of resisting arrest. None of the counts involve stealing a truck.
Police noted Leachman has a criminal record. WRTV reports it goes back more than 20 years, including a case in 2017 where Indianapolis squad cars were rammed.
Leachman is due to appear in court on May 11. An introduction to the police video notes it may take a year for the investigation of the case to end.
