A man has been accused of stabbing and killing another man at a Texas homeless camp and trying to dispose of the body by dismembering and burning it, RadarOnline.com has learned.
Around 3:20 a.m. on June 19, officers responded to a report of a stabbing in North Austin, according to the Austin Police Department, as Front Page Detectives reported.
Once at the scene, witnesses directed officers to a homeless camp near the YMCA, where they found 41-year-old Joshua Daniel just a few feet from the man who was killed, officials said.
Austin Police Officer Alexandra Parker said, “Officers located a person with obvious signs of trauma, and he appeared to be beyond help,” KTBC reported.
The arrest affidavit says Daniel told police, “I’m not saying anything, just put the cuffs on,” and officers detained him, according to KTBC.

Daniel was booked into the Travis County Jail and charged with first-degree murder, officials said.
The investigation is ongoing.
