Hilary Duff is set to join the ranks of Young Hollywood who have taken an early plunge into marriage. The 22-year old and her boyfriend Mike Comrie got engaged during a recent Hawaiian getaway.

On Friday, photos surfaced of the two relaxing on their patio in Maui. As the afternoon gave way to the evening, Comrie is seen getting down on his knees to the surprise of Duff.

Later, Duff was spotted taking a photo of the new bling with her iPhone.

Comrie, the 29-year old Canadian hockey player for the Edmonton Oilers, has been dating the singer since 2007 and is known to lavish heaps of affection (and money!) on his lady love. For her twentieth birthday, he got her a Mercedes Benz G-class SUV.
