British actress Lucy Gordon - who played TV reporter Jennifer Dugan in Spider-man 3 - has committed suicide, RadarOnline.com has learned.
Gordon, 28, hanged herself Wednesday morning in her Paris flat just two days before her 29th birthday, authorities say.
Gordon’s boyfriend discovered her body and then ran to a local shop to get some help, but it was too late. He is now being questioned by police.
Despite the fact that Gordon had appeared ‘happy’ and spoken with neighbors in the last few days it is understood she had become depressed after the recent suicide of a friend back in Great Britain.
The former model had just played the actress and singer Jane Birkin in a biopic about late French singer Serge Gainsbourg which is being debut at The Cannes Film Festival.
Two suicide notes were found at the scene! See the latest developments.

She also recently completed a lead role in a French comedy Cineman while also starring alongside well-known French actress Audrey Tautou in the comedy The Russian Dolls. A spokesman at The Cannes Film Festival said: “We are devastated by the news. All of those attending the festival had been hugely impressed by Lucy’s work. She was a star in the making.”
Her father Richard Gordon, 60, told the UK’s Dail Mail newspaper: “The whole family is so proud of Lucy, and we always have been. Lucy was a lovely, generous and unselfish person who always gave so much thought to other people and put them before herself. Her career had just been taking off and it’s a tragedy that it has been cut short so soon.” (Photo: WENN)
