Demi's Overdose Nightmare: Inside Lovato's Downward Spiral 1 Year Later

Demi Lovato is marking the one-year anniversary of her terrifying overdose on July 24.
Fans were stunned last summer after the star nearly lost her life!
Emergency personnel responded to Lovato's home and she was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. The singer/actress was allegedly "unconscious" after a night long bender, according to a 911 call.
Law enforcement sources claimed she was revived with Narcan, which treats opiate overdoses.
Previously, Lovato, 26, had confessed she'd relapsed on drugs and alcohol after six years of sobriety in her heartbreaking song “Sober.”
Following her drug overdose, Lovato went into rehab for 90 days, getting released in early November 2018.
For years, Lovato had acknowledged going through sobriety struggles, an eating disorder and a bipolar condition. She said she first tried cocaine as a teenage Disney star.
After her OD, the former Sonny with a Chance star wrote on Instagram, "I have always been transparent about my journey with addiction. What I've learned is that this illness is not something that disappears or fades with time. It is something I must continue to overcome and have not done yet."
Now it's been a year since her downward spiral and devoted followers are hoping her trouble is a thing of the past.

Lovato might have died—but the star's assistant found her unresponsive in bed just before noon following a night of hard partying and summoned emergency personnel, RadarOnline.com learned.

The admitted addict's hospital stay was extended to address her mental health issues, RadarOnline.com reported at the time.

Lovato was released from the hospital on August 4, 2018 after recovering from her overdose.

On August 5, 2018, Lovato wrote her fans on social media after the ordeal, “I now need time to heal and focus on my sobriety and road to recovery. The love you have all shown me will never be forgotten and I look forward to the day where I can say I came out on the other side.”
