Bones Star David Boreanaz In "Sincere Pain" Amid Cheating Scandal

Bones star David Boreanaz is described as being in "sincere pain" after admitting to cheating on wife Jaime Bergman with an unidentified woman, RadarOnline.com can report.

On Wednesday, the creator of Bones, Hart Hanson, Tweeted a short statement on behalf of Boreanaz, who claims the woman was trying to extort money from him to keep their affair quiet.

Hanson wrote: "David Boreanaz has asked me to express to fans his sincere pain, thanks for support, and determination that his family will 'get thru this.'"

Boreanaz, 40, and Bergman, 34, wed in 2001. The couple has two children - Jaden, 8, and Bardot, 9 months.

As RadarOnline.com has previously reported, this is not the first time Boreanz has had an affair. He also had a relationship with Rachel Uchitel, the woman who would later become known as Tiger Woods mistress #1. Bergman was pregnant at the time of her husband's affair with Uchitel. Boreanaz has said he is working to repair his damaged marriage.

Both Uchitel and Boreanaz's unnamed mistress are being represented by Los Angeles powerhouse lawyer Gloria Allred, who has adamantly denied any implication of wrongdoing.
