David Hasselhoff is going back to the land of his professional birth. The controversial actor/singer/TV host is returning to The Young and the Restless for a plot line that will run through several episodes, RadarOnline.com has confirmed.

The Hoff will reprise his role as Dr. William “Snapper” Foster, a character he played for 850 episodes in the 1970s. It was a show that “molded my craft, my attitude and my work ethic,” Hasselhoff said in a statement.
