EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: Delta Burke On Agonizing Injury, Hoarding

Camp favorite and star of Designing Women Delta Burke is home in Los Angeles after a terrible accident that severely injured her back.

"I slipped in the deep bath tub in the hotel," Burke tells RadarOnline.com exclusively. Burke was in Hartford, Conn. where he husband Gerald McRaney is performing in a play.
"I felt myself falling and I was afraid I was going to hit my head as I fell," Burke said.
"I was determined that I wasn¹t going to be found dead with my head next to a toilet bowl, so I grabbed to support myself and badly twisted my back. The next thing I was in agony."
McRaney came to her rescue, massaging and icing her back. She credits her survival to her husband, who she says keeps her balanced.
Burke is no stranger to struggle, having battled decades of weight problems and even a hoarding syndrome.

"One of the warning signs is when I go on a buying binge. I have to talk to myself and work very hard to get through it. I've learned better how to cope with it," she said.
"It's really hard to stay on the program. You just have to deal with it."
