Whoever said nice guys finish last hasn't met Kris Allen.
Even after winning the biggest talent show in the universe, Allen remained the picture of "Aw, Shucks" humility while speaking to Fox and Friends Thursday.
The Arkansas native told the show that he thought his talented Idol colleague, runner-up Adam Lambert should have won, and that he doesn't think he could have pulled off his own victory without the aid of playing instruments and using innovative rearrangements to bolster his profile.

Allen, who said he didn't want to take a peek at the results when the moment of truth had come, told the show he was almost about to quit chasing his musical dreams before his fateful brush with the show. He added that he was impressed with Lambert's consistently jaw-dropping performances throughout the season.
