Man Tries To Burn Down Ex's House With Cheetos Dust

A vengeful ex-boyfriend, who authorities say attempted to burn his former flame's home to the ground by using Cheetos as an accelerant, has been convicted of malicious destruction of property.
Shemroy Williams, 31, of Taunton, Mass., was sentenced to more than two years in jail for trying to set fire to his ex-girlfriend's house — while she was stuck inside!
The homeowner and a friend called for help when they discovered Williams trying to set the house ablaze. An investigation uncovered a propane tank propped against the building and a fire burning on the back porch.
It was determined that Williams had attempted to ignite the house in five different locations, using Cheetos to intensify the flames.
Responders pulled the tank away from the building before it exploded, and police discovered Williams in the vicinity with two lighters in his pocket — and an empty Cheetos bag.
"The defendant engaged in outrageous behavior that jeopardized the safety of the intended victim, her friend and first responders," said district attorney Thomas Quinn. "I want to thank deputy fire chief Scott Dexter for his quick response and removal of the propane tank."

Williams' target told police that her ex had been menacing her.
He reportedly cut wires in her car that he thought were a brake line, destroyed her cell phone and had considered killing her.
The jury needed just one hour to convict the malicious fire starter.
