'I'm Not Guilty!' Farrah Abraham Turns Down Plea Deal In Battery & Resisting Police Case
Former Teen Mom star Farrah Abraham said she refuses to take a plea offer from L.A. County District Attorney's Office because she maintains she was targeted for being a celebrity, RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal.
Abraham, 27, appeared at the Airport Courthouse in Los Angeles on Monday, August 13, for an arraignment regarding charges stemming from her June 13, 2018 arrest at the posh Beverly Hills Hotel.
The MTV star was arrested for allegedly battering a security officer in the face.
On Monday, however, the prosecutor told Judge Jane Godfrey that the L.A. County District Attorney's Office has offered a plea deal to Abraham. Under the plea agreement, the misdemeanor battery charge and misdemeanor resisting a peace officer charge would be dropped. Abraham will instead just face a misdemeanor trespassing charge.
If she agrees to take the plea agreement, Abraham also would be placed under three years probation, agree to take 26 classes of anger management, perform hours of community service and pay court fees and fines. Abraham must also agree to stay away from the hotel.
Godfrey ordered Abraham to return to court for an early disposition conference on September 21.
However, Abraham's attorney, Tiffany Travillion, said her client does not plan to take the agreement.
"She was clearly allowed and permitted into the hotel so there is no reason to agree to that," Travillion told RadarOnline.com exclusively.
Abraham, who was wearing a very low-cut sexy mint green dress and Fendi bag, brought along her young daughter Sophia, 9, and a friend to court.
After the brief hearing, Abraham told RadarOnline.com that she is refusing to take the D.A.'s plea offer because she maintains she is innocent.
"I'm not accepting the offer because I'm not guilty," Abraham said. "I have gone through a lot of counseling and therapy. I am also very mentally stable and I have no aggressive issues. I can literally submit that to my lawyer, show that to the judge and it would still override this fake offer.
She continued, "I clearly had a valet and I was not trespassing. I didn't batter someone. This is just, to me, another form of, again, 'No celebrity face, there would be no case.'"
If she still refuses to take the D.A.'s deal and is convicted of the battery and resisting an officer charges, Abraham could be sentenced to a maximum of 18 months in jail, according to prosecutors.
