'Extremely Insecure' Courtney Stodden Reveals Her Dark Battle With Depression

Actress Courtney Stodden revealed she is battling severe depression, in a dark Instagram post this Monday afternoon.

"Depression is so hard to kick. But I'll get through it and so will you if you're a sufferer," she wrote on a Snapchat image of her looking sad and exhausted in a black and white filter.

"I feel too much. I soak up too much energy from myself and others. I love too deeply. I'm extremely insecure. Terribly childlike and vulnerable. This is me and my struggle with depression. But I have faith I'll prevail. If you're a sufferer of anxiety or depression - know that you aren't alone," Stodden, 23, wrote as a caption.

The Celebrity Big Brother star's news comes as a surprise to fans who saw her looking gorgeous and relaxed during a beach retreat just a few months ago.

In 2016, after suffering a heartbreaking miscarriage, Stodden confessed she was going through a debilitating spout of depression, even more since she had to give up her unborn child.

Soon after the tragedy, she called it quits with much-older husband Doug Hutchinson and was even seen making out with mystery men while out clubbing.

"I suffer from depression. My depression affects my appetite, sleeping patterns and overall perspective on life," Stodden told reporters at the time. "At times, I have severe insomnia and other times I find myself sleeping too much. I have feelings of hopelessness but experience many moments of absolute euphoria."

She claimed that after losing her baby and going through her bitter breakup, she became addicted to prescription medication.

"I'm partying too hard probably. I have been taking anti-anxiety mediation, otherwise I feel like I'm going to jump out the window," she told DailyMail.com at the time.

Could Courtney Stodden's latest post have anything to do with her miscarriage?
