Amanda Bynes’ Conservatorship Extended For Two More Years After Mom Files Status Report

Amanda Bynes will remain under her mother’s legal control for at least two more years, RadarOnline.com can confirm.

According to California court records viewed by Radar, a hearing in the former troubled actress’ conservatorship has been scheduled for September 15, 2020 — meaning her mother Lynn will likely continue her rule over the star’s well-being for another two years.

On July 25, Lynn filed a confidential status report with the court.

The Blast was first to report the conservatorship extension.

In 2017, Amanda regained control of her finances, People reported. However, Lynn remains conservator over her “person,” meaning she can make medical decisions for her daughter.

After being held on a psychiatric hold multiple times in 2013 and 2014, Amanda announced she had three years sober in a rare interview last summer.

She said she remains enrolled in fashion school in Los Angeles — but may return to acting after an eight-year hiatus!

“I do miss acting and I have something surprising to tell you: I’m going to start acting again,” she revealed to Hollyscoop. “I want to do TV. Maybe a few guest spots on some shows that I’m a fan of and maybe another TV show where I’m the star of it.”

While her mother has relocated to Texas, Amanda’s life coach Joy Stevens is a constant companion in L.A.

Britney Spears is also famously under a conservatorship, and has been for more than ten years.
